Charge: The DHC meet to discuss the cross-cutting themes, issues, and proposals related to both academic and non-academic items that impact one or more academic units and that have implications for the college as a whole (academics, personnel, operations, reputation, opportunity, finance, and other cross-college considerations). This group considers the workflow and implications of expectations that come from university leadership, research leadership, external governance agencies, students, and other critical partners and advances issues that arise in day-to-day roles. [The Department Heads is an advisory group with roles defined within the COE IG]. Committee develops and coordinates policies related to the governance of the COE academic program and collaborates with the Research and Outreach Council on matters of common concern.  This process shall include consultation/collaboration across Department Heads to include input/suggestions from departmental faculty.

2023 – 2024 Membership: This group consists of the members of the ELT plus the academic department heads and coordinators of finance and operations.

Schedule: The DHC meets twice monthly.
