Charge: To review student applications and rank applicants to indicate those most qualified to receive the various awards. The Development charge is to manage the scholarship program to ensure the top ranked scholarship applications are filtered for the specific criteria of each scholarship and to distribute funding to students, as well as to create relationships between the donors and the students.

Membership: The COE scholarship committee is comprised of two members from each department appointed by the Department Head. Terms last one year and are renewable.

2024 Scholarship Committee Timeline:

• Early February – Communication to provide instructions and answer questions.
• February 9 – COE Scholarship Applications due.
• February 16 – Applications are available for committee’s review online.
• March 6 – All applications must be reviewed and submitted online by end of day. Development office compiles all the rankings for the committee.
• Week of March 10 – Development office will match rankings/applicants with available scholarships. Academic programs will make their admittance offers.
• Week of March 24 – Applicants will be notified by email from the Development office of scholarship award decisions.
